It all started from a soup kitchen.
It all began in 1978 when Anthony Jr. and Teresa Spino opened Anthony’s Restaurant & Lounge.
During the 1960s, the restaurant’s original building housed The Soup House, owned by Anthony’s mother, where she served daily lunch and hot soups. In 1978, her son, Anthony Jr, and his wife, Teresa, added on to the building and re-opened as Anthony’s Restaurant & Lounge. Today, you’ll find their sons, Vito and Anthony Spino III, running the kitchen and dining room.
Anthony’s serves award-winning, traditional Italian dishes and daily specials, including pasta, beef, chicken and seafood. Recipes have been handed down by Anthony’s grandmother, still prepared the same way today they were 40 years ago. The lasagna is baked each morning with sweet ricotta, fresh Romano cheese and Anthony’s sugo, the family’s signature tomato sauce, also made fresh daily. The house Italian dressing and the restaurant’s specialty dessert, cannoli, have been served for over four decades. And the fried chicken served exclusively on Sundays is a local favorite. Also on the menu, you will find vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Though all meals are prepared to order, Anthony’s offers prompt and friendly service, making it an ideal spot for a business lunch or dinner. Anthony’s is also a great place for a drink, offering an excellent, affordable wine list and a comfortable bar.
